Peace of Mind Pet Doula

Helping companion animals and their families face the final journey with peace and dignity

Geriatric cat

Cherishing the animal human bond has always been at the heart of my purpose when working with pets and their caregivers.

Becoming a Certified End-of-Life Companion Animal Doula has been a natural extension of my work so that I could continue to support the bond of caregivers and their pets up to, and through, the final stages of their journey together.

My goal is to empower caregivers to make compassionate and informed decisions in the best interest of their pet’s needs.

What is an End-of-Life Pet Doula?

As a Certified End-of-Life Pet Doula, I assist people as they face the anxiety and fear that comes when confronted with their pet’s time of transition and passing.

A Pet Doula is someone who provides compassionate support and advocacy for you and your pet. They provide holistic, non-medical care and guidance during the final stages of the pet’s life. They are an integral part of your pet’s interdisciplinary care team that includes your veterinarian, family, friends, and other support providers, such as pet sitters and groomers.

Doula work encompasses both emotional and practical aspects of end-of-life care. It includes providing comfort, facilitating communication between all team members, and assisting in decision making processes.

The aim of the Pet Doula is to ensure a peaceful and dignified transition experience for both the pet and their human companion.
